and they have finally gotten brave enough to eat at
the window feeder! It's neat to see these brilliant birds
so close up. (well, at least the male is brilliant!)
But in the pictures above, the male is on our BarBQ, actually --
it's been used a lot this winter! :)
Every day I sprinkle it with bird seed, and our old table out on the deck gets a liberal sprinkle as well once or twice a day. Ralph claims the sparrows around here are looking fatter these days...
they are our most frequent visitors by far.
