Sunday

After our morning service, our church family had a "soup and buns" potluck, since Rich & Ange & their kids were with us. A number of families stayed all afternoon, enjoying this chance to fellowship together. Jacob, the youngest son of Rich & Ange, is quite a charmer! Cher found these two rascals outside putting mud in their hair,
claiming they were washing it... she brought them in to show us. :)

Ultrasound

Today was Bethany's third & final hip ultrasound.
At birth, there were concerns about her hip development, especially on the left side, so she was referred to an orthopaedic surgeon.
But today he said that both hips are fine now -- the left hip is fully developed! (It had been immature, but not enough for her to need to wear a harness because it was not actually dislocated, thankfully.)
So we praise & thank the Lord for healing her!
Truly, the way our Heavenly Father causes every baby to grow and develop is miraculous! May we, as newborn babies,
"...desire the pure milk of the word, that you may grow thereby,
if indeed you have tasted that the Lord is gracious." 1 Peter 2:2-3

Happy Birthday Rachel!

We thank God for giving Rachel another year!

Yesterday was the big day, and since she shares her birthday with her faraway friend Rebeccca, we celebrated by going to a park nearby with as many of their friends from church as could make it.
A friendly fellow...

Thanks so much for coming all the way out here for the afternoon, Joyce!!

Praise the LORD!
Praise the LORD from the heavens;
Praise Him in the heights!...Let them praise the name of the LORD,
For He commanded and they were created.
...Praise the LORD from the earth,
You great sea creatures and all the depths;
Fire and hail, snow and clouds;
Stormy wind, fulfilling His word;
Mountains and all hills;
Fruitful trees and all cedars;
Beasts and all cattle;Creeping things and flying fowl;
Kings of the earth and all peoples;
Princes and all judges of the earth;
Both young men and maidens;
Old men and children.Let them praise the name of the LORD,
For His name alone is exalted;
His glory is above the earth and heaven.
Psalm 148: 1, 5, 7-13(Daniel told me he was "bungee-jumping!")

Egan Chute

The LORD reigns,
He is clothed with majesty;
The LORD is clothed,
He has girded Himself with strength.

Surely the world is established,
so that it cannot be moved.
Your throne is established from of old;
You are from everlasting.

The LORD on high is mightier
Than the noise of many waters...

Your testimonies are very sure;
Holiness adorns Your house,
O LORD, forever.

Psalm 93: 1-2, 4-5
