Our first two days of this years’ team activities were spent in “ La Noria” a rustic camp outside of Tepic. It is located up in the mountains, so the drive is very steep. We were able to rent a bus, through a contact of Alfredo, one of our members. We were so thankful for this, because we would have been hard-pressed to fit over fifty people and all the luggage in the few cars among us. Literally. Pastor Zack used his trailer to take up all the chairs and tables the day before.

We hiked, we played games, we ate lots of good food. But most importantly, we gathered around the Word and learned. The theme was Romans 12. Pastor Rich, Pastor Zack, and Pastor Ken split the chapter up and gave clear gospel messages. Martin, one of our members also gave a devotional. Many expressed a real appreciation for the Word brought, and also commented how good it was to have Bible study as the main focus of the retreat.
